PSOC is the Philippines' official occupation classification. It is the labor-side companion to PSIC, which classifies industries.

PSOC stands for Philippine Standard Occupational Classification. It groups occupations by the type of work performed, not by the industry where the worker is employed.
The public PSA API documentation presents PSOC as a hierarchy of 10 major groups, 43 sub-major groups, 130 minor groups and 456 unit groups. The major groups run from armed forces roles through elementary occupations.
The 2022 updates to the 2012 PSOC were published to capture new and emerging occupations that developed after the original 2012 edition. That makes the 2022 layer the current public publication to work from.
PSIC classifies industries and establishments. PSOC classifies jobs and people. A company can appear in one PSIC bucket while its workers belong to several different PSOC occupations.
The PSA PSOC API uses a versioned base URL and token-based query parameter in the official docs. For public browsing and human checks, the PSA classification page remains the best first stop.
